    Ewals looks for possibilities to reduce the environment pollution during goods carriage to meet the demands of  ISO 14001:2004. A combination of transportation by trucks and trains is a promising possibility if a major part of the transformation is realized by railway network.

     Ewals CZ exploits the railway line connecting Lovosice and Duisburg in both directions that is convenient for goods flow from CZ to Ruhrland/Benelux and back. Another line connecting Ostrava and Duisburg will come into operation during December, 2010. The line will make it possible to carry goods also from Moravia-Silesia.

     Trailers are carried unaccompanied and they are distributed from terminals by trucks (see photogallery). The Mega Huckepacks (13.6 x 2.48 x 2.7) are used for transportation with loading space of 100 m3 that are transported by train unaccompanied.The trailers can be loaded from the  side, back, and top (removable roof-crane can be used).

    Thus, Ewals CZ  continues long-term experience of parent company that belongs among eminent suppliers of  intermodal services in Europe.
